A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended last week’s “Will O’ the Wisp: Madness, War, and Recompense” book release party! The party was loads of fun and a delight to see old friends and meet new ones. It was a particularly meaningful event as it was held in a historic old Charleston venue adjacent to one of George Trenholm’s shipping offices at #1 Cumberland Street and less than two blocks from where the East Bay wharves used to be and where Captain Jack Holmes would have docked his “Will O’ the Wisp”.

Given the cold and sketchy weather, not to mention the ever-lucking Omicron, we really appreciated those of you who were able to come. Once again, the ultrasound squad and genetics team proved there are no circumstances, day or night when it is not a good time to bend an elbow and party. Thanks also to the staff at Hall’s Signature Events for making the space so nice and serving up some great grub. The “PrimeRib-a-tini” was worth the price of admission. They were wonderful hosts for the evening.

I know that several people, probably more, could not attend due to weather or health concerns. DO NOT WORRY!! Let me assure you that we have plenty (I’ll repeat that- PLENTY) of all my books still available. If you would like a signed copy do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail ( either [email protected] or [email protected] and I will get you a signed edition). Copies of “Will O’ the Wisp: Madness, War, and Recompense”, “What Becomes”, “Two Drifters”, and “Occam’s Razor” are also all available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Kindle.

Special shout out to my best friends, business managers, and fabulous playlist creators, Diane and Sarah Newman. About halfway through the party one particular selection caught my new ears and brought a big smile to my face. For those of you who are not lifelong fans of TimBuk 3.

I study nuclear science
I love my classes
I got a crazy teacher
He wears dark glasses
Things are goin’ great
And they are only gettin’ better

I’m doin’ alright
Gettin’ good grades
The future’s so bright
I gotta wear shades
I gotta wear shades

I got a job waitin’
For my graduation
Fifty-thou’ a year
I will buy a lotta beer
Things are goin’ great
And they’re only gettin’ better

I’m doin’ alright
Gettin’ good grades
The future is so bright
I gotta wear shades
I gotta wear shades

Well, I’m heavenly-blessed
And worldly wise
I’m a peeping Tom techie
With X-ray eyes
Things are going great
And they’re only gettin’ better

I’m doin’ alright
Gettin’ good grades
The future’s so bright
I gotta wear shades
I gotta wear shades, ow,ow,ow
I gotta wear shades
I gotta wear shades

Check out TimBuk3 and my new books. Thanks.
